Your microneedling aftercare plan, hour by hour

The next 24 hours matter more than anything you'll buy. Here's exactly what to do, what's normal, and when to text us.

The next 24 hours matter more than anything you'll buy.

Your skin just did real work. Thousands of micro-channels are open and your barrier is temporarily down. Everything below is about giving that repair room to happen. Follow it and the collagen payoff shows up on schedule.

First 24 hours

  • Hands off. No touching, no products, nothing new. Let your nurse's finishing serum do its job.
  • No makeup. Give the channels a full day to close before anything sits on them.
  • No workouts, hot showers, sauna, steam, or hot tub. Sweat and heat on open skin is how irritation and infection start.
  • Cleanse only if your nurse told you to, with clean hands and a fragrance-free cleanser. Lukewarm, never hot.
  • Sleep on a fresh pillowcase.

What's normal right now

Redness like a mild sunburn, warmth, tightness, mild swelling, occasional pinpoint spots. This is the treatment working, not a problem.

Days 2 to 3

  • Broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher, every day, starting now. This one is not optional. Your skin is more sun-sensitive than usual, and pigment changes are the main avoidable complication.
  • Keep it boring: gentle cleanser, hyaluronic acid, bland barrier moisturizer.
  • No retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, or vitamin C.
  • No scrubs, exfoliants, or physical brushes.
  • Dryness and light flaking around day 2 to 3 is renewal. Don't pick it, don't peel it, don't speed it up.
  • Stay out of pools, hot tubs, lakes, and the ocean.
  • No waxing, threading, depilatories, or laser hair removal in the treated area.

Days 4 to 7

  • Most people are back to normal social and gym routines.
  • Reintroduce actives one at a time once skin feels calm, usually around day 5 to 7. Retinoids last.
  • Keep the SPF permanent. It protects the result you just paid for.

If you added Fractional RF

Same plan, held about two days longer at each step. Stay off high-intensity exercise, hot baths, and saunas for five days.

Text the Studio right away if you see

  • Pus, yellow crusting, or blistering
  • Redness that spreads or gets worse after day 3
  • Swelling that's still there past 72 hours
  • Fever, or any redness that looks angry rather than flushed
  • A cold sore starting

That's not a bother, that's the job. Text us.

The honest timeline

You'll see brightness in the first week. The real change is collagen, and collagen rebuilds over weeks. That's why the plan is a series, not a session. Show up consistently and it compounds.
